Visual Testing (VT)
Mirrors, magnifying glasses, bores copes, and fiberscopes are examples of tools. • Large tanks and vessels, railroad tank cars, and sewer lines can all be inspected with a portable video inspection unit that has a zoom feature. • Robotic crawlers allow observation in confined or dangerous spaces, like air ducts, reactors, and pipelines.
Visual Testing (VT) is based on the inspection for flaws that are visible to the naked eye and is the most commonly used NDT method across all industries. It allows for a feasible and fast control of quality at every step of the fabrication or maintenance process.
